Officially the UK’s fastest growing classic car event and often hailed as the ‘friendly classic car show’, over 21,000 enthusiasts will be joining us for the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery this year, bringing together all aspects of classic motoring. From barn finds discovered after many years of storage and those project cars that have stalled in an owner’s garage, to restorations just getting back on the road and those pristine marques with gleaming brightwork and proud as punch owners.
2018’s show is set to welcome an out of action Austin A30 with only 24,000 miles on the clock and a 1982 BMW 535i MSport in the Carole Nash Barn Find display. Or if shiny classics is more your cup of tea, head over to the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership stand where you can watch beautiful and unique privately owned classics battle it out to win the first place title. Classic Car Auctions will host their biggest ever sale featuring over 200 ‘every man’ cars, and Wheeler Dealers Mike Brewer and Ant Anstead will hold down the fort on the live stage where Practical Classics Editor, Danny Hopkins and his team will take on their biggest show project yet restoring a Citroen 2CV across the three days. Joining the Practical Classics & Wheeler Dealer boys will also be Salvage Hunters Drew Pritchard and Paul Cowland and fresh off the back of his new series premiere, Jimmy De Ville from Goblin Works Garage! You can read more about the exciting features and faces joining us this year here.
If you need help and advice from our motoring experts and celebrities, want to buy the tools to do the job yourself or find a specialist restorer who can tackle the work on your behalf you’ll be spoilt for choice throughout the show’s halls. With cars for sale from both dealers and from Classic Car Auctions, live demonstrations educating even the most expert of restorers at The Workshop, car clubs doing live restoration on their club stands, plus over 1,000 stunning classics on display, it’s the classic celebration inspiring families and enthusiasts of all ages. Tickets are now on sale to Spring’s Best Classic Car show so join the classic restoration movement from 23 – 25 March at Birmingham’s NEC and book yours today!
PRESCOTT HILL CLIMB OPEN CLASSIC CAR EVENT 12/13 MAY 2018
Cheltenham Cleeve Vale Rotary Club invites classic car owners to an event to be held on the weekend of 12th and 13th May 2018. The event is open to all vehicles over 25 years old but exceptions may be made at the discretion of the organisers for particularly interesting younger vehicles.
Sunday 13th will be devoted to display and driving the famous hill, with passengers if you wish, in marshalled but un-timed runs. Un-timed runs eliminate the need for crash helmets and the full gamut of safety equipment etc. However vehicles must be road legal i.e. taxed and insured. A Paddock entry donation of £55 per vehicle covers 2 runs up the hill, all passengers and a souvenir programme. Entries will be limited to 200. Any additional runs available will be offered to paddock entrants, for further donations.
As before, we will also be having a static display in designated areas for classic, vintage and special vehicles. For those who wish to partake, we will also be repeating the gentle cavalcades up the hill so that vehicles can be displayed in motion to the attending public. We feel this significantly enhances the presentation of the superb range of vehicles expected. A Static entry donation of £15 per car, covers all passengers, a free programme and a cavalcade drive up the hill. Block bookings by Clubs will be particularly welcome and we will endeavour to park such groups together.
On Saturday 12th we are offering a tour of the Cotswolds. The route will start at Prescott and take in approx. 80 miles of the counties finest scenery; it will finish near Bibury where some spectacular motor cars can be seen and afternoon tea will be kindly provided courtesy of The Classic Motor Hub.
Spectators will be welcome on the Sunday, with a suggested donation for our charities of £15 per car.
All profits will go to Charities supported by Rotary and in order to maximise this, we are asking for your cooperation, where appropriate, to gift aid your payments so that we can reclaim tax.
Please note that dogs are not allowed anywhere on site.
I am writing to see whether you may be interested in yourself and/or you members bringing along a vehicle or two to RAFP100Fest on 19th May at Aylesbury Rugby Club?
2018 is a big year for us, as it is the RAF Police’s Centenary year. We are one of the few trades in the RAF who were formed on 01 Apr 1918 as part of the wider RAF. As such we shall be celebrating this milestone accordingly.
RAF Police Centenary Event – 19th May 2018- RAFP100FEST – Aylesbury RFC
A brief overview of the event will include the following that are so far confirmed: RAFP ‘ The Flying Pigs’ Vs Metropolitan Police Rugby (Men & Women Rugby), RAF Police Dog Demonstration Team Show, Live Music, Kids entertainment and rides, stalls, food & drink outlets, Military capability stands and shows, Service Charities, Trade stands (money for a pitch will go in to our charities), ‘Meet International Players (Male & Female)’, Air Cadets and Aylesbury RFC mini rugby, March pasts.
We are constantly engaging to add more and more to the event.
We would love to have some of your members at the event showcasing (there will be a large catchment of Military, former Military and Civilian personnel). We feel your members would be a great match for the event, and would of course waive any fees if they bought along a vehicle or two for guests to view.
As the event is a celebration, we would like to make sure attendance at the event is as large as possible (capped at £10000 attendees). Aims for the event; as with the themes of all RAF100 events; are to celebrate the achievements of the RAF Police and its past and present personnel, while engaging with the community / civilian personnel, inspiring a future generation and commemorating those who went before us. Although the event is ticketed, we will not to charge for entry to the event in order to gain maximum exposure and make it an event for all to enjoy.
Please email Rhys Wynn for a ticket to display your vehicle on email@example.com
I am more than happy to discuss through the event with you.
I look forward to hearing from you.

This is a cracking weekend, with non-stop action on land, sea and air, including a flotilla of the Dunkirk Little ships, and overnight camping is available. Gary Hammond is going again this year and happy to co-ordinate with other members if you fancy going along, he will arrange convoys and meeting place.
BAD CCC attended this event in 2017 and can confirm it’s a cracking day out. There is non stop action on the Thames and a carnival atmosphere on the river bank at Fawley Meadows at Henley-on-Thames.
This popular, long running event is now bigger and better than ever. It offers more attractions on the water, in the air and on the land, than ever before.
For example: This year will feature the largest display of traditional boats in Europe consisting of the fleet of Dunkirk “Little Ships” with MTB 102, Her Majesty’s row barge “Gloriana”, and the largest gathering of amphibious vehicles to date. There will be a WW1 air display team and of course a display of Classic Cars from Austin 7 club, Lagonda club, Ford T club , Healy 3000 club, and potentially BAD CCC plus many individual entries.
Gary Hammond will be camping on-site on Fri 20th- Sat21st July in his VW T2 camper van and displaying his Messerschmitt KR200 on both Sat 21st and Sun 22nd July.
It would be great if we could get a group from BAD CCC to attend on both days.
(Please note there is a pre-1969 cut-off date for Classic display cars)
However, there is a Special Interest group covering the years 1970-1980 that should open this event up to additional member’s cars.
If you are attending please let Gary know what day and he will arrange all BAD CCC cars to be together.
